Also going San Fran for work in Feb for two weeks if anyone's got recomms there. Hoping to meet mates that will take me around anyway. Going up Chinese New Year so will be a good first weekend.

Spring/Summer is full of weekend recommendations. I have absolutely nothing for winter though. 

Scotland was really fun meeting up with friends + partying, but I don't know somewhere I'd go where I didn't already know people around this time of year. At least not in Europe.

I hear Egypt is good for that shit. Apparently during the uprising you could get a really good deal if you didn't mind being confined to the resort but I imagine the price may have middled since then.

I just came from Cairo and Luxor, very safe place imo. Police with AK-47s everywhere. Lack of tourist mean they'll even create a convoy for you. Imagine, I'm with a driver and a tour guide and have police and the army being my bodyguard and creating convoys lols.

Went to marrakech last month as a surprise birthday gift.  Place wasn't bad at all!. I will definitely recommend to anyone that wants a short break that isn't far and very warm for this time of the year..

 

I stayed at this hotel ; Hotel Du Golf. It was a resort with pretty much everything

Had dinner at this south american restaurant  at the Hotel. Kinda like Rodizio but with live music & dancers performing on your table

I went on a town centre tour at night. Takes you around the kings palace, then some rough parts of town.

Overall its decent. I will definitely hit there again soon. Probably for another weekend spring break. Not bad on the pocket either.

Depends on where you stay, The resort was away from town and the security was on point and gated. The town centre (Market) are was a lil too rowdy for my liking though. This is why i opted for the chariot ride instead.

Security at the Airport was tight, thorough checks Entry & Exit

Not much to recommend other than the hotel/Resort mainly. You cant go wrong. The Brazilian restaurant was my favorite.

The only thing to do in town is obviously visit the market. Too noisy. I will recommend the Chariot ride @ night. Grab your jacket, its gets a lil bit cold at night.

Try and go to this Bar/restaurant  Comptoir Darna.

 

I find it weird that people were smoking in doors though. I had to adjust to that.
