RTM (Released to manufacturing) marks the end of the Windows 7 alpha and beta phase and the product will now be officially supported by Microsoft's support channels and servicing. RTM does not mark the end of Windows 7 development though. Engineers will have booked their summer vacations but new builds will still be compiled ready for any hotfixes and heading towards the initial SP1 release.Microsoft announced yesterday that the Windows 7 RTM build will be in OEM's hands "2 days after RTM" meaning OEM partners may have the build as early as Friday. MSDN and TechNet customers will receive the build on August 6.7600.16385.090713-1255 is confirmed as the official RTM build, according to Steven Sinofsky "today after all the validation checks were met, we signed off and declared build 7600.16385 as RTM."

7600.16385.090713-1255that leaked over a week ago, im guessing the MD5 won't be the same as rtm?
Some of the leaks where VHD's which got converted to ISO. Aint about trusting that to be your main OS as it's not an original iso. As anyone can inject that with anything they want as it's taken from a virtual install. But to each his own.Awaiting the OEM to get their share... (@ the latest Fri). Then we can compare the SHA1.Either way there would be confirmation by 6th AUG from MSDN and TECHNET.

Also MSN does not look right on the start bar, i cant see the convos along the bottom, its all in one tab, i have tried changing the compatibility mode, but still dont work
right click the start bar, properties, where it says "taskbar buttons"... select "never combine"seems to be working so far, will c if it keeps msn convos seperate.

For those who asked above or will need links. 1. Download Windows 7A. How to download Windows 7?The fastest way to download Windows 7 is using BitTorrent, which is a P2P protocol that allows file sharing. To download files using BitTorrent you need an application that supports BitTorrent protocol. You might use µTorrent (Direct download: http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/complete ) or any other BitTorrent client will do the trick.B. Okay I have a BitTorrent application, what's now?All you have to do is to download the tiny ".torrent" file bellow that belong to the version that you want (32 bits or 64 bits). This file will be opened with your BitTorrent application and the download will starts.

2. Check the authenticity of your downloadA. How to be 100% sure that the ISO Image that I've downloaded is authentic-untouched-original and doesn't contain any spyware and has not been edited by anyone? To make sure of the authenticity of your Windows 7, you must compare its hash with the ones given by Microsoft. The hash is the result of the "calculation" of a file. If a file has been modified then its hash will be completely different. To calculate the hash you need an application like SlavaSoft HashCalc (Direct download: http://www.slavasoft.com/zip/hashcalc.zip ) or any other one will do the trick.Compare the hash of the ISO Image that you've downloaded with the hash released by Microsoft :

3. Install Windows 7A. Burn itTo install Windows 7, the simplest way is to burn the ISO image that you've downloaded on a DVD using any burning software. You must open the ISO image with your burning software to have a bootable DVD. Do not create a "data" DVD and import the ".iso" file, it won't work.B. Boot on itBoot (start) on the DVD that you've burned. If after inserting the DVD into your drive and restarting you computer it still doesn't work, you might need to go into your BIOS to setup the boot priority and set "CD/DVD drive" first instead of the hard drive (which will be second then).C. Follow installation instructionsIt's not rocket science so installing is just a case of reading and trying to understand what you're being asked.

What about all your programs you currently got installed on ur Vista operating system do you need to reinstall all of those? i dont have the original cds for any of them.
Depends on how you go about it. If you go the upgrade path then should work (but expect exceptions) If you go the FORMAT and RELOAD. Then you will lose anything that you can't back up.
