so my laptop needs reformatted

and im thinking its like to upgrade from XP

lookin to pay £0 if poss

but dont know what to download

anyone feel to point me in the right direction?

I downloaded Win7 Ultimate from warez and it works fine

Tested it on Vmware first, liked it then installed it as my main OS

Thought I'd be running XP forever but Win7 is defo a worthy upgrade.

im just thinkin about the specific release/crack etc. cant be assed with any problems in the future. actually coz im doin a part time IT course i shud be getting a student card soon, could just cop legit with the student discount.

im having a problem

got 64 ultimate, but everytime i change my IDE drives it f*cks up n i have to repair with the disk

is this normal? cant i jus shut down, change drives n start up again normally? i get some error like windows isnt even available

How many drives you got on your computer? If it's more than 1 and you don't know what kind of IDE cables you're using. Then go for the "Master, Slave" setup using the jumpers on the drives. As sometimes if the drives are in "Cable Select" and the IDE cable you got is budget then it will f*ck around with the boot order. Either that, or also have a look into your bios if you can configure 1st BOOT DEVICE to be the DRIVE that Windows resides in.

got it on theday i made the post cnt remeber what day of the week it was

i do the master/slave thing i have 2 SATA drives and a IDE cabel that has 1 drive and 1 DVD writer, but when i take off the dvd writer n put another drive there it jus f*cks up n i need to repair it
