this the film im looking forward to this year Footage Screening DetailsON AUGUST 21, WORLDWIDE AUDIENCES GET FIRST LOOK AT AVATAR, FROM THE WRITER-DIRECTOR OF TERMINATOR 1 AND 2, TITANIC AND ALIENSFREE SHOWINGS OF SPECIAL EXTENDED FOOTAGE PREPARED BY JAMES CAMERON TO BE PRESENTED AROUND THE GLOBE AT SELECT CINEMASLONDON, August 17, 2009 – Twentieth Century Fox announced today additional information about its global, history-making event when, on August 21, the world will get its first look at director James Cameron’s motion picture epic AVATAR. In this unprecedented experience, the studio and Cameron will debut the film’s teaser trailer everywhere, while select cinemas and IMAX® theatres will screen hand-picked scenesin 3-D, prepared by the renowned filmmaker.The worldwide teaser trailer launch will be presented in all formats, including IMAX®3-D, IMAX® 2-D, digital 3-D, digital 2-D, and 35mm 2-D. It will also be available online. The extended look at AVATAR will unspool for two showings only on the evening of August 21 across the UK, the exception being BFI Southbank, IMAX who will have four separate showings. Public tickets can be obtained by registering at and entering the code 302001.
