Init lolIts irrelevant that LA Reid > Jay-Z because at the end of the day it was Jay-Z > DMX (in terms of power), so that argument is dead.X is rightAnd Cipher's right, X > Jay

No, because with Jay-Z & LA's tenure as heads of Def Jam, it had to become more pop-oriented. Why do you think they bought LA there for in the first place? Anyone Jay-Z bought forward, had to be more or less co-signed with LA Reid first...People going on like DMX's decline wasn't happening prior to Jay-Z taking over along with LL Cool J, Redman, Meth, etc...

We know, but that isnt being discussed by anyone but yourself. Swear X said when Jay got his position @ Def Jam, thats when he decided to leave

TBH, Def Jam & DMX were having problems, and X said himself, when Jay first got in, they had a convo on the phone, and X thought he was gonna get looked after. He left because apparently, Jay-Z took a holiday & he felt 'neglected'. End of the day, all them felt they should've got 'priority, especially when they considered Jay-Z, 'as one of them', but this is business. Jay-Z put business first, which he has to do. But them man see it as having 'no heart'.

See I interpreted that 'no heart' part of the video about Jay's music. He said he's talented but he doesnt do it from the heart- it's for the money. Then goes on to say he doesnt give any energy when he performs. Disclaimer: Bear in mind I saw this video earlier so my recollection may be slightly off and editing could have messed me up

Ohhh, seen. Misintepretation on both parts. In terms of heart, depends really. Because for some, his music has no 'heart', but for others, (myself included), his music motivates me differently. Aspirational sh*t.
