TOTTENHAM will make a £6million move for Manchester City midfield ace Michael Johnson in the January window.Boss Harry Redknapp feels Spurs are short in the middle of the park. And he is ready to test City's resolve to hang on to a player who has fallen down the pecking order after a year out.Johnson, 21, was one of the hottest young prospects in the country when he broke into the City team three years ago.But he has managed just one minute of league action this season since recovering from a persistent abdominal injury. And he is now behind Gareth Barry, Stephen Ireland, Nigel De Jong, Martin Petrov and Vincent Kompany at Eastlands Redknapp said: "Central midfield is the one area we don't have a lot of players. We've only got Palacios, Huddlestone and Jenas and I don't have many options there."Redknapp has still not decided whether to recall Jamie O'Hara when his loan at Portsmouth ends in January. He said: "If Portsmouth want to keep him and we've got enough players, I'll have a chat with Paul Hart and see if I can help him out."Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...l#ixzz0Ue4LG0PA

yeah saw him play in a reserves game recently. didn't know it was him till someone pointed it out.shadow of his former self. but if you can get him 'fit' he'd be a good bet.
