i wouldn't say it explored public opinion, everyone they "interviewed" seemed quite pro death penalty. it was basically just a fake trial and execution of gary glitter, they showed the children he'd abused giving their testimonials in court, and him trying to appeal against his sentence, and then his hanging at the end. i didn't really get what channel 4 were trying to say, bring back the death penalty maybe? at the end it said something like 56% of the public agree apparently
