Kanye West Album Of The Decade and Artist Of The Decade

Hey Rolling Stone, nice work on proving me right that your magazine is totally off balance. There is frankly some of the worst music of the decade in here (along with some of the best). When I saw how the list was compiled, I am not to surprised. Did all of Metallica need to vote? There are so many landmark and worthy albums that blow the piss off of that U2, Norrah Jones or System of a Down (to name a few) that it is utterly embarassing. To call some of those the most important is shocking, to say the least. This magazine is an embarassment to the entire cosmos in terms of musical coverage and relevance.
That sums it up really.I'll stop now.Full list for anyone that wants it.http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/31248017/100_best_albums_of_the_decade/441 | Radiohead: Kid A2 | The Strokes: Is This It3 | Wilco: Yankee Hotel Foxtrot4 | Jay-Z: The Blueprint5 | The White Stripes: Elephant6 | Arcade Fire: Funeral7 | Eminem: The Marshal Mathers LP8 | Bob Dylan: Modern Times9 | M.I.A.: Kala10 | Kanye West: The College Dropout11 | Bob Dylan: Love and Theft12 | LCD Soundsystem: Sound of Silver13 | U2: All That You Can't Leave Behind14 | Jay-Z: The Black Album15 | Bruce Springsteen: The Rising16 | OutKast: Stankonia17 | Beck: Sea Change18 | MGMT: Oracular Spectacular19 | Amy Winehouse: Back to Black20 | The White Stripes: White Blood Cells21 | Coldplay: A Rush of Blood to the Head22 | Green Day: American Idiot23 | D'Angelo: Voodoo24 | Bruce Springsteen: Magic25 | Radiohead: Amnesiac26 | Cat Power: The Greatest27 | The Flaming Lips: Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots28 | Yeah Yeah Yeahs: Fever to Tell29 | Sigur Rós: Ágaetis Byrjun30 | Radiohead: In Rainbows31 | My Morning Jacket: Z32 | Lil Wayne: Tha Carter III33 | Daft Punk: Discovery34 | OutKast: Speakerboxxx/The Love Below35 | PJ Harvey: Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea36 | U2: No Line on the Horizon37 | 50 Cent: Get Rich or Die Tryin'38 | Ryan Adams: Heartbreaker39 | Kings of Leon: Aha Shake Heartbreak40 | Kanye West: Late Registration41 | Arctic Monkeys: Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not42 | Elliott Smith: Figure 843 | The Killers: Hot Fuss44 | System of a Down: Toxicity45 | Kanye West: Graduation46 | Justin Timberlake: FutureSex/LoveSounds47 | Fleet Foxes: Fleet Foxes48 | TV on the Radio: Dear Science49 | Fiona Apple: Extraordionary Machine50 | Bright Eyes: I'm Wide Awake It's Morning51 | Spoon: Kill the Moonlight52 | M.I.A.: Arular53 | Kings of Leon: Only By the Night54 | Norah Jones: Come Away With Me55 | Robert Plant and Alison Krauss: Raising Sand56 | Vampire Weekend: Vampire Weekend57 | Death Cab for Cutie: Transatlanticism58 | Danger Mouse: The Grey Album59 | Interpol: Turn on the Bright Lights60 | Phoenix: Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix61 | The Shins: Oh, Inverted World62 | Johnny Cash: American III: Solitary Man63 | Kanye West: 808s and Heartbreak64 | Gillian Welch: Time the Revelator65 | Manu Chao: Próxima Estación Esperanza66 | Antony & the Johnsons: I Am a Bird Now67 | Björk: Vespertine68 | U2: How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb69 | Missy Elliott: Under Construction70 | Sleater-Kinney: The Woods71 | Bright Eyes: Lifted or the Story is in the Soil, Keep Your Eart to the Ground72 | Franz Ferdinand: Franz Ferdinand73 | Coldplay: Parachutes74 | Red Hot Chili Peppers: Stadium Arcadium75 | Arcade Fire: Neon Bible76 | Sigur Rós: ()77 | Yo La Tengo: And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out78 | Sufjan Stevens: Illinois79 | The New Pornographers: Electric Version80 | Kings of Leon: Youth and Young Manhood81 | Ryan Adams: Gold82 | Queens of the Stone Age: Rated R83 | The Black Keys: Attack & Release84 | Eminem: The Eminem Show85 | Coldplay: Viva La Vida86 | The Postal Service: Give Up87 | Gnarls Barkley: St. Elsewhere88 | Brian Wilson: Smile89 | Radiohead: Hail to the Thief90 | Amadou & Miriam: Dimanche a Bamako91 | The Hives: Veni Vidi Vicious92 | Bon Iver: For Emma, Forever Ago93 | Johnny Cash: Unearthed94 | The Libertines: Up the Brackett95 | Alicia Keys: Songs in A Minor96 | The Streets: Original Pirate Material97 | Wilco: Sky Blue Sky98 | TV on the Radio: Return to Cookie Mountain99 | The Hold Steady: Almost Killed Me100 | Leonard Cohen: 10 New Songs

Nooooo, not Artic Monkeys > Killers :/Some terrible band that students and tweens loveMr Brightside, and Smile Like You Mean it are in the top songs of the decade and would get Hot Fuss through based on them two aloneThe Killers are original (though their albums have steadily declined and are very poppy)Artic Monkeys are just some dire sheffield group trying very hard to be Oasis but falling quite short who have maybe 3 good songs in their whole discography, and a whole load of terrible ones. And yea of course Rollong Stone is sh*tIts a list that serves to cater to its tween demographic and album chart sales, rather than any loyalty to the Rock Music genre, or music at all really, the list & magazine both try so hard to look cool & hip its desperately crigneworthyWould like to smack the editor twiceNot even gonna lie I'm getting mad right now

no no nodont get me wrong i like the killers, but arctic monkeys are a couple streets aheadshown alot of musical growth since the first album, listening to humbug and you'll hardly believe its the same bandwhether the new sound is for the better or worse it shows a band confident enough to try new things rather than play it safewhilst none of their albums are perfect they always have atleast 3 real Quality songs on themi dunno whether you've given them a chance or not but you should cause i reckon they're puckerhowever as a compromise you should check this out

I heard a single they had recently that I likedwent something likeconsisting of the strange, twisted and derangedOr something, I considered dling the sh*t and prob still will (and tbh I thought the exact same thing that it sounds as if they have grown musically, definately seemed to have more depth that that -i-bet-you-look-a-bit-of-alright-on-the-dancefloor shite)BUTThat first album aint better than Hot Fuss tbhThough I am now disgusted with the killers after their last album, which was so, so dire..I'll listen to that track you posted tomorrowCant find my speakers :/

Yea they are, But so are the monkeys.. Allow talking as if your unable to read anything I wrote, I said that Hot Fuss was better than Whatever You Say I am, thats what Im Not. Not that the killers are the best band of all time. The fact that the List doesn't have Because Of The Times, yet has Only By The NIghtAgain shockingBut as I saidI'm not getting started again..
