Rejected two deals prior.Merida has made 13 appearances for us.Coquelin failed to impress when he started for the first team against WBA, where as Eastmond performed against Liverpool.

We struggled to do any contracts until the start of 2009 when Gazidas came in, and Merida I doubt and rightly so wasnt exactly high on the list of order. He had a offer in the summer, which he rejected. You cant make a player sign a deal, if they have doubts then they have doubts. I wud hav liked to have seen Merida given more of a chance with the 1st team, he obviously has ability and has shown glimpses.. Merida has only completed 4 football matches for us..Im a big Ramsey fan but tbh theres not much difference between the two, Ramsey is a british player and is accustomed to the style and came with a price tag, I think these factors are why he gets more of a chance

He's been offered two contracts or had two rounds of contract talks this year definitely, the quotes from various people indicate this. He turned down a 5 year deal before the season started and he has been offered another one which if he going Madrid means he has turned down again.Denilson look very good for a season and a half, got injured in '08 against Tottenham in the 1-5 result, and has NEVER been the same.Merida got minutes in the Carling Cup and his performances have not been better thna Denilson where, or Wilshere & Ramsey's. Merida just played in the FA Cup and flopped.Simpson did f*ck all against Sheff Utd, so I assume you mean Wigan, where he played and scored.
