Can someone tell me the correct way to say "let's get a drink"

I've always thought it was:

"consigamos algo a beber"

Someone is disagreeing with me telling me it's:

"vamos a beber algo"

his one is more to what ur looking for

some mexican girl just confirmed this is the way it would be said there.

think its just a regional/dialect difference.
