"Un Prophete" MUST take best foreign film, if this isn't taking it I will shake my head.

I haven't seen either, but based on the previous films of both directors, my vote would go to The White Ribbon (Michael Haneke) over Un Prophete.

I really do need to see both of these films though. I'm just more excited for The White Ribbon.

That's more to do with the technology than the film though.

It deserves all the special effects awards it gets, but there were def better films this year... The Hurt Locker, Moon, Inglourious, Burma VJ, Up In The Air, Un Prophete spring to mind

It will clean up across the board though

Animated category could be interesting in terms of Up vs Fantastic Mr Fox, Pixar dominate the Oscars as well though
