I got this now. Seems cool tbh. It's very similar to Twitter, but like a glorified version with all the Google perks.

When you choose to make your profile" private, it allows you to also choose which groups can see your "Buzzes".

This is what I wanted from Twitter Lists tbh, we all have different circles of friends, we can't be clogging up peoples timelines with tweets that are irrelevant to them.
