30th March20:45 Kick-OffFußball Arena München, Munich (GER) Referee: De Bleeckere (BEL)Sky Sports 2

While I expect this could be a tough can if Bayern show up, I expect us to go through, they were lucky in both the group stages and last 16I expect the main threat to come from Robben obviously, hopefully we can double up and shackle him effectively and half our job will be done (robben is ALSO having fitness problems and may not make the match)Ribery is not fully fit and definately out of form, so I am less worried about him, Klose is not having a great season, though Olic is still a threatDemichelis is a big loss for them at the back, I doubt he will be fit for the first leg, and Van Buytun and Badstubber have been shocking at times this season and I expect Rooney to run them raggedSchweinsteiger is also still out I beleiveButt can be erratic at times, making a simpel mistake but then pulling off an excellent save..We however have Rooney and Rio who have just passed fitness tests today and are both (hopefully) 100% for the matchI can see them packing the midfield in an attempt to stop us getting an away goalmy main worry is our right side though

ButtLahm - Van Buyten - Badstubber - ContentoTymoshchuk - Alaba - Van BommelOlic - RiberyGomez

Park - Rooney - Valencia Fletcher - Scholes - Carrick Evra - Vidic - Ferdinand - NevilleVan Der Saar

Hmm I had the above formation in mind considering we would be facing both Robben and Ribery for a full 45 minutes - Park and Valencia would both have to track back to help our fullbacks (especially neville/rafael) with their wingersNow it seems Robben will only play 45 minutes, it seems likely that this will be the second half, I'm pretty sure we will line up in a similar fashionDemichelis may actually be back now, if so, he will play at cb with Van Buyten and Badstubber will go to left back..Not sure about Alaba though, Im not sure if he has played in CM/DM since van Gaal took over, he's mainly be reserved to left back, but if they let us get their defense, its over.Since Robben is a 'doubt'.....he will play Im sure. They just wont get a full performance out of him for a full..60/70 minutes I dont think.Park and Valencia both have jobs to do and I'm confident they'll do them.Could possibly go with

VDSRafael - Vidic - Ferdinand - EvraScholes - FletcherParkValencia - Rooney - Nani

My prediction - 2-0 to usThoughts...?Will do a Lyon/Bordeux ting whenI cba or someone else can

Referee: Brych (GER)Stadium: Stade de Gerland, Lyon (FRA) SS3

LlorisReveillere - Cris - Boumsong - CissokhoToulalan - Makoun - Khallstrom/PjanicGovou - Lisandro - Delgado

ChamakhPlasil - Fernando - GourcuffWendel - DiarraSane - Tremoulinas - Ciani -ChalmeCarrasi

Bordeux are seeming pretty stretched atm and have dropped in form, playing in 3 different competitions, Lyon are unbeaten in the competition at home this year and I think have only let in 1 goalLyon will no doubt be looking to avenge their defeat at the hands of Bordeux in the cup via Chamaks Header...(one to keep an eye on for arsenal fans)2 teams that know eachother quite well could end up being quite a cagey match....Lyon 2-0Edit - the sports room is for football discussion, not for being a stupid f*ck*ng prick still.

Honestly? I don't, couldn't give a f*ck about Ligue 1.Instead of laughing you could be more useful by correcting him.

Seen, you’re one of them internet football guru’s who patronise anybody who gets anything wrong about stuff, particularly foreign leagues.Good thing is you people only exist on the internet. :D

It'd be a major fail if you man don't make the final tbh. Barca would beat you and I'd fancy Inter over two legs to beat you, one-off game not so sure though.

Bayern Munich playmaker Franck Ribery believes that Wayne Rooney is 'carrying' Manchester United this season. The two superstars will meet on Tuesday night when United take on Bayern in Germany in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final.United are second only to Barcelona as favourites to win the competition, but Ribery thinks that Sir Alex Ferguson's team are a one-man side.Rooney has scored 33 goals in all competitions this season and Bayern appear to believe that the England international is United's only threat.Ribery, who, along with Arjen Robben, is 'carrying the banner' for Bayern in the opinion of Ferguson, said in The Sun: "Rooney is carrying the United team this season. We must pay great attention to him."He's having a tremendous season and I am happy for him. He's a player I like a lot."He's hungry. He gives everything for his team. He will tackle, he defends, he attacks, he scores goals. He's full of confidence."Ribery added: "The whole world sees us losing but I think we have a great chance. We have a team good enough to believe in."
