RANT BY EDI TUBAU, HOCKEY PLAYER AND BARÇA FAN

"Cesc, you're not proud of the shirt"

05/02/2013

Edi Tubau, the Spanish international grass hockey player and Barcelona fan, has managed to cause a stir amongst the Barça ranks after his live tweets during his team's overwhelming defeat.

Tubau launched a tirade at Cesc Fàbregas on Twitter, accusing him of not working his socks off for his team. "Cesc, I'll only ask one thing of you, to run your arse of in the second half. I ask you as a Barça fan," he wrote first, in a message in Catalan directly addressed to the player's account, @cesc4official.

He was even more critical later on. "Seriously, it's the 65th minute and you're still not running? You're not proud of the shirt. You should be ashamed of coming to Barça with that attitude," he said. "We need to make signings, and good ones - not just for the media, but for our actual needs. And we need to be brave and sell the ones who think they don't have to work hard here," he assured.

"Everyone criticises Alexis, but at least he pours his heart out in every game. Others don't even break a sweat… right, Cesc?! That was quite a swindle you managed to end up here," he said. "We need to sign a winger who can break, a centre forward and a good German style centre back, who's big and imposing. And the stars, or those who think they are, can go."

He also asked the press to get on the case of "the freeloaders who were on the pitch

The honeymoon is over for Cesc. Barca fans are fuming.

it's like the national team man is playing in a postion where he should not be. Barca like to press a team for the ball. for cesc for the roll he is playing he should not be trying to run everywhere trying to get the ball come back to arsenal son we play you properly

Would like to take a moment here to shout out the rest of the man on here who never rated cesc

We fought some tough battles with deluded arsenal fans over the years

But we won

I rate Alba but him and Alves both going forward at the same time has hurt Barca a few times this season

With Pep's team Abidal would either stay back or tuck in next to Pique and Puyol to make a temporary back 3 so they didn't get exposed on the counter as much as they have this season

Alba @ Valencia could bomb forward as much as he liked cause Mathieu could always switch from LW to LB and cover him

Tito reuniting the Alba/Mathieu partnership on the left flank would be a good look

The last round of this season is to be played this saturday.

Focus is on the battle for the spots granting starting spots in europe, and of course relegation.

On the bottom end of the table, Hoffenheim are two points behind their rivals from Düsseldorf and Augsburg, and will need an away win at BVB. Augsburg, who play at home against already relegated Fürth, and Düsseldorf who visit Hannover, arguably have easier jobs, especially as BVB is expected to play their strongest eleven (as Bayern will do in their last game at parting coach Heynckes' home town Mönchengladbach).
Both CL finalists want to keep up momentum for their first 11.

The most interesting tie is definitely the "final for the CL" between Freiburg and Schalke, the winner will end the season on the fourth spot and be allowed to enter the CL qualification stage - big money time.

All games: saturday 3:30pm local - 1:30 uk time.

Borussia Dortmund - 1899 Hoffenheim
Borussia M'gladbach - Bayern München
VfB Stuttgart - 1. FSV Mainz 05
Hannover 96 - Fortuna Düsseldorf
1. FC Nürnberg - Werder Bremen
SC Freiburg - FC Schalke 04
FC Augsburg - SpVgg Greuther Fürth
Hamburger SV - Bayer 04 Leverkusen
Eintracht Frankfurt - VfL Wolfsburg
