forget what you want to do. the question should be what CAN you do?

then obviously go with whatever makes the most money.

^ whatever you do don't do this

better to think what interests you most and ask your self if you have the stamina and mentality to committ to making it no matter how long it takes

i reccomend everyone reads think and grow rich. apply the thoery to whatever is tangible that you desire tbh

im like 4/5 years into my career and I STILL dont know what to do.

The past few years have thought me that I do not want to be in this job field no more its not bringing me much satisfaction. but this aint a bad thing and my advice to all you young'uns is to not let this have an affect for your life

I have essentially 'gone with the flow' ever since I decided in that ill fate day that I dont want to go to uni no more, I instead want to get a job, earn some money and help look after my family especially my younger siblings coz quite frankly my family was broke poor.

well one thing led to another and the key thing is although I did not have a direction as such I worked VERY HARD to make something of myself.....5 years later im doing alright, im in a decent position in my career and both my younger siblings have graduated from uni. Now im working hard for that change in my life which I desire (soon come)

point is with HARD WORK anything is possible and although you might not have a direction this is no excuse for you to feel as though there is no hope....coz of a lot of people nowadays use that as an excuse to do nothing with their lives and ultimately amount to nothing.

So reach for the stars because even if you do fail, you will land on the moon.

*looks down from the sky and snaps back into reality*

ERRR yeah....ummm.....As you were.........

Anybody else in this position?

Really not sure what I want to aim for career-wise.

see this is the thing. its always the ones who claim I'M the miserable one who are infact the miserable cunts pissed that i have a good time saying what i feel as i feel.

I KNOW WHAT I WANT IN LIFE AND FROM LIFE

I'm not laughing at you per say for your sad situation but you always try and make it seem that others are the miserable ones.

ive noticed this alot from certain brehs and in a nex thread these same pple will explain things that really show they're the ones always miserable.

sort yourself out and see a careers advisor.

if you want out.......remember to cut horizontal not vertical, and lie in a bath of warm water.

I'm not miserable. I just want to start planning toward my future career but feel slightly lost.

You on the other hand make it a habit to come on here solely to attack other people or act immature.

You do not exactly radiate happiness yourself, in case you hadn't noticed.

Sometimes I feel like there's too many things I want to do in life.

Yes I have this problem aswell.

Seems like there are quite a few things I want to do yet I'm struggling to commit to one.

I'm trying to decide whether I want to choose a career in an industry I know I will be very happy in or one that will make me a lot more money yet could turn out to be too much stress and end up making me miserable.

I used to be in the same boat but I know now what I want to do. And as stressful as work is and difficult, where one door closes another opens. I met one guy that told me he literally phoned over 100 companies looking for a position related to accounting/finance. Only one place gave him an interview. He now makes between 8-10K a month. He is basically the guy a company calls to sort their sh*t out and drop info on who to let go for the f*ck ups and how to improve. Some specialist type guy.

Since I met him ,I can't help but feel like I definitely reach my goal one day. No matter how long it takes, I will make it. All about just taking advantage of as many opportunities as you can.

i rlly feel rite now im on the cusp of big things, i have plans and im putting in work to make them happen. however inorder for me to realize my aims i have to go thru a period of the-same-old-sh*t, the impatience is alot. im also at the same time shook of missing my opportunity.

its funny how things fall into place and start to make sense tho, a few years ago i wasnt even sure what my dreams were.
