Scott Walker

3 posts in this topic

One third of pop sensation The Walker Bros in the mid-sixties. Went solo and released a string of self titled albums, the first two were mostly covers but by the third and fourth it was a mix of original material and jacque bruel stuff. Baritone voice that could be equal parts haunting and powerful, some amazing lyricism and imagery. Oh yeah, and the arrangements are beautiful.

good call. '4' and 'The Drift' are among my favourite albums ever. incredible how he's managed to produce both the most beautiful and the most scary music ever.
