Improving Flexibility

I want to improve my all round flexibility so I'm looking for some exercise programs, I know yoga is good for improving flexibility but are there any other alternatives you've used?

All I can think of is other stretching programmes, like the traditional ones (like you're supposed to do before/after gym/football sessions), gymnast ones, ones involving gym balls.Haven't ever really done any to improve flexibility, just for prevention and relief of strain. Ones with gym balls I've found are good to relieve tension quickly, yoga works quite well to fix things on long terms.
