Just thought id add some bullet point stuff that apparently has been confirmed through play tests and interviews from insiders etc

Some stuff you probably all ready know / heard about but just incase people dont know..

Several gaming sites have posted their impressions of Call of Duty Black Ops. With dozens of different articles and interviews we decided to post a summary of all the new information, although some bits have been confirmed before. Check out the list below:

Singleplayer

  • Vietnam is just a small part of the story. The games story is set across a large period of time.
  • Some of the singleplayer maps are based on multiplayer maps, which is usually the other way around.
  • In some missions you have the option to move in stealthily or go in guns blazing.
  • The enemy AI is smarter. They will now try to dodge if you aim at them.

Multiplayer

  • Multiplayer has been in development from day one.
  • Lean is back! ? (lean around corners ??)
  • Vehicles will be returning. But not as you know them from World At War =[
  • Create-A-Class 2.0 includes deep customization and new features. =]
  • The game will include a "barebones" game mode. =]
  • As the name implies, there won't be any perks or killstreaks, just old school gameplay.
  • Many familiar weapons will be making a return, including the AK-47.
  • The region filter is back. =]
  • Improved matchmaking and server browser.
  • Modern Warfare 2's host migration will be included.
  • Auto-Aim can be turned on/off. =]
  • PC gamers will be able to enjoy the comfort and luxury of dedicated servers.
  • The PC version will have an anti-cheat software, but it's unknown if it's Punkbuster.
  • There will be support for the competitive community, which will include great tools.
  • The team focusing on the multiplayer aspect of the game is twice the size (World at War).

Co-op Mode

  • There will be 2-4 player co-op.
  • Supports 2 player offline split-screen.
  • It won't be based on the singleplayer campaign.
  • Zombies might be making a return from World at War.

Miscellaneous

  • The game engine is a heavily modified version of the IW engine which was used in World at War.
  • The game runs at 60 FPS!
  • Physics destruction is going to be limited, so no Battlefield Bad Company 2 style "blow holes in the walls" gameplay.
  • The PC version will look better than the console versions (duh).
  • There are over 200 people working on Black Ops!

Heres apparently the weapons thats been confirmed through trailers n videos etc

If i get any new info i will just update to this list and repost

the dive is alot

hope when they say customization it aint 1 or 2 things you can change, eg that red dot smiley face and maybe a strap for your weapon, want some deeeep sh*t, i wana run around as a black man EVERYtime i play. etc et

Customized killstreaks will return, but the game-ending Tactical Nuke will not. Kills earned from killstreak rewards will not count towards increasing a player's killstreak.

Thank the lord

PMSLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Treyarch >>>> ____________

1. Take IW's game

2. Change it a bit

3. Sell it

These guys are jokers (but SMART).

Im laughing at how little they have changed. Most of the asthetics are straight STOLEN from MW2 and MW. Clan tag, buzz kill, points, all that stuff.

AT THE SAME TIME

If it aint broke...

They've basically included and removed stuff that was/wasnt in MW2. Its like MW2 V2.0.

Disclaimer: these opinions are from limited information and are subject to change B)

Customization

Customization will also play a huge part in the new Call of Duty. David Vonderhaar, lead multiplayer designer at Treyarch, told the magazine: “You can create a tag and etch it onto your weapons, so they’re stamped as yours. The option is also there to alter your sights and clip on attachtments such as flame-throwers.”

These attachments, sights and tags can be bought with in-game cash and will help to make your character ‘unique’. However, it seems likely that some elements of the traditional rank system from previous Call of Duty games will remain, given that players in the Multiplayer Teaser Trailer had ranks next to their names. It’s likely that we’ll find out more on this later tonight, at the Multiplayer Reveal Event.

‘Wager Match’

Another new addition is a Team Tactical gametype called ‘Wager Match’. When you choose to play Wager Match, you’ll be randomly placed in one of four modes: ‘One in the Chamber’, which sees players given one bullet to kill other players: miss, and they’re forced to use the knife, ‘Sharpshooter’, which sees players given a random weapon, ‘Sticks and Stones’, which involves the crossbow, ballistic knife and Tomahawk, and ‘Gun Game’ (formerly a mod for Call of Duty 4), which sees players vying to get kills with 20 different weapons: knife someone, and they move down a level.

“You gamble with your own currency, and the fear of loss is so incredibly great that it intensifies the action.” – David Vonderhaar

(this sounds all good n well, but every one knows that when it comes down to loosing money, ppl are gonna be cotching up/ tubing/<using whatever broken gun is in the game>)

Team Deathmatch, the popular and ever-present gametype which pits teams of 6 against each other, will return in Black Ops. However, points for headshots and other bonuses will apparently add to the team score, encouraging players to be as accurate as possible.
