I know how helpfull and informative you man are but akademic thread is kinda slow, I got a friend out here who studies clinical psychology and wants to do a 3 month internship in london, how would she go about it? Obviously have to email a few clinics etc do you lot have any places I could look websites forums. Thanks

the way I got mine is to literally google companies and email them.

Explain who you are what you do and why you want to work for them. Also state your availability and attach a cv. that's the best way imo. there are sites that list available internships but because they're so public everyone is applying and chances are slim. A personal direct email shows initiative. Don't know any sites for what the girl is doing though. Hope that helps

STUDENTS, of you who were working what did you believe the rules on tax were?

Cos i've been told students aren't supposed to get taxed. I was taxed all 4 years I worked.

It was my understanding if you made over the tax limit 6470 or whatever it was at the time you got taxed regardless...but I wanna know if I'm the one who was misunderstood all along

Your right, that whole students don't pay tax at all thing is a myth, only thing students are exempt from is council tax.
