Renting Question

7 posts in this topic

Basically the agent for my next yr accommodation is trying to get me to sign a 12 month contract

Not happening

He's trying to chat sh*t about thats the minimum duration

I think I should go talk to the landlord directly as the last tenants were there for only 9...

It's a private letting, but what can i say to defend my cause apart from I'm a student and money is obv tight?

Yeh go straight to the landlord the letting agent is probs being long because he gets more fees out of it if youre on a 12mth contract.

However if it is the actual landlord who wants 12 months theres nothing you can do.

6 months with the option to extend it for a further 6 months, then if you wish, rolling with a months notice.

That's what I done in my last flat.
