Female Role Models in 2010

When did i mention 5 and business women? Are you disagreeing that women 50-100 years ago where more respectable and had more pride in themselves than the girls of today who are shaving their heads, wearing next to nothing and barbie necklaces. The fact that its cool to be bisexual and kiss girls in clubs whilst having a boyfriend, having many sexual partners because 'men do it'. Not even getting into bum implants and 30'' extensions. Understanding thats to the extreme but who else do they have to look up to outside their own family.. of which in this day girls are lucky to have a Mum who is worthy of role model status. Who else are we to blame of this extreme behaviour?

BTW, I think the general point yr trying to make is that there aren't enough positive role models in the media for young girls these days, am I right? If that is the case, I agree with you. However, I don't think the media should be the place for people to get their positive role models from. That place is the home, and the family unit.
wat if we were to eradicate the family unit,or use the media to downplay its relevence..either way i think yr wrong to disagree with m12s assesment,indie/emo chicks are also some cocksucking cockroaches that live for the man with the horns and i dont mean louis armstrong
I never mentioned indie/emo chicks, but I do know plenty of them (indie chicks anyway, dunno any emos) who are slags as well.Kate Moss/Daisy Lowe are the indie equivalents of the people M12 mentioned. But I wouldn't say "most females" look up to these people, same as I wouldn't say "most females" look up to Kardashian etc.My point still stands.
ok then lets flip thisIn your opinion who do most women look up to as role models?(excluding family mothers, sisters etc)

Dunno mate, it'd depend who you ask. I'd imagine there's a wide range of people they look up to, from Michelle Obama to Sylvia Plath to Cheryl Cole.

i think deleting facebook, not watching television and keeping my social circle restricted to thinking individuals has massively improved my opinion of the human race, I recommend.wouldnt give a girl the time of day if she looked up to the women listed.personally think the money over everything mentality has blighted our society and left it morally malnourished.

Why edit?Of course there was slags, women who couldnt care less about themselves and how successful they would become. But your the same guys always crying for a 'wife', what would you prefer - a woman who will stay at home and look after your kids or a woman like Amber Rose (taking looks out of the picture).

you are delusional then.i said most females. Most = Majority. I will give you Michelle Obama and even Cheryl Cole at a push (even though it could be argued a lot of her fame derives from being in a relationship with Ashley Cole)But Sylvia Plath GTFO. the majority of women wont even know who sylvia plath is let alone count her as a role model. And like i said regardless of whether or not you're hanging around with the enlightened 3% of women who value an education and have a life plan that doesnt involve riding a successful mans wave, the other 97% would still rather be like Amber Rose or Kim K and you cant pretend that everyone else is hanging round with scum.Im not saying the general consensus on these women is correct and i agree but you cant deny that , IT IS THE GENERAL CONSENSUS.

Typical.A reasonable thread wasted by nit picking and bickering. Its been said in newspapers etc that 'glamour models' and sh*t like that are becoming popular role models for young girls in the uk....look at the popularity of Katie Price and sh*t like that. Its a valid point that female role models are POOR and we have the media to blame for that.Everything aimed at young girls is becoming TOO SEXUAL this is undeniable, My mates wee cousin was singing "come on rude boy boy can you get it up?" that is not appropriate! Its hopefully a trend that will not last forever.

I'd be interested to know where yr getting these statistics from.I included Sylvia Plath because I do know females who look up to her, same as you included Amber Rose cause you know females who look up to her. I personally don't know anyone who looks up to Amber Rose. KK and Paris Hilton, yeah, I probably know a few (slags) who look up to them. And I'm sorry, but I can and will continue to deny that "the general consensus" on the women you mentioned is admiration, cause I'd be hard pushed to find more than 6 people I know who admire any of them in any way.

tbh imo m12 is talking about chicks in an urban environment. as this is what the 'role models' he stated are in bar paris u man arent in that environment so wouldnt know ppl who look up to these ppl but either way theres a indie/white equivalent role model whose jus as bad
Lolwhat?Anyway, yeah most chicks see these chicks getting fame by having no particular talent & aspire to this sh*t. Like, those chics who are models, actresses, promoters, call centre specialists, etc.

TBH, a woman's 'skillset' has alot to do with her allure, beauty, etc. That's one of the ways they differ from men. From the dawn of time, they just built that way.The likes of Amber Rose, Kim Kardashian, etc just build on that, but in an extreme way made even moreso immoral by the media. They are uber-sirens.I think if more men didn't reward such behaviour with attention, let alone with the sheer amount of p*ssy-begging & simping, it would help things. That's our weakness & these women ain't dumb, they play on it.
