Arsene Wenger is considering issuing himself with a touchline ban.

Wenger sat in the stands during Arsenal's midweek Carling Cup win over Spurs after being punished by the FA for his behaviour at Sunderland on Saturday.

The Frenchman found the experience so appealing that he may now do it voluntarily.

He said: 'Honestly, I don't know what I would have done if the game had been against Man United or Chelsea. But will I do it more often? Why not? When I first arrived in England, I watched the firsthalf upstairs and the second-half down on the touchline.

'So, yes, I've been thinking about it. You have a fantastic view and you can communicate with the bench so it's not a disadvantage.'
