When you get your SIM and activate it, make sure you remove the data bar from your account by asking an Agent. (They have free internet and some people have chosen to abuse it by hacking their sim or what ever and not top-up at all and leach of the free internet).

Quick tip.

If you have an Android enabled device and Laptop/Netbook, tethering to Ubuntu works natively, couple the fact you have a GiffGaff (meaning no Fair Use Policy and Ulmted really means = Unlmted", you can use your phone to browse the net at 3G speed.

Note: GiffGaff don't really allow this (I don't think you're allowed to do this on any network tbh, they tell you to buy a dongle for this stuff) so make sure not to be using 1gb a day and hot yourself. Other than that, Chrome + Spotify + TVCatchUp (m.tvcactchup.com) is all I do.
