Promoting New Years Eve Night

since its a small venue concentrate on friends , friends of friends....

make sure any dj you hire would draw a crowd and try work a deal with him to flog tickets

dont know if you got any pirate stations down coventry but run competitions on the shows for tickets .....free advertising

because its a small venue make sure in all your flyers and advertising you hype up the "exclusivity" of the event and the fact that tickets are limited , a lot of people dont want to go to big venues on NYE

the usual facebook, twitter, flying....etc

if you cant ram a venue in a small place like coventry after all of that........

Dont try and compete with big nights, you will loose.

Find a niche or target.

Dont give away free entries, free entries = no one turning up cos they already know its going to be dead.

Get on the uni facebook groups advertising job vacancies for street team promo.

Print up 5000 flyers + 2000 wristbands. Pay your students commission on entry to go round halls putting them under every halls door.

Pay for your flyer design.

Make a facebook event and get all your mates/ street team on the promo.

Put it up on www.dontstayin.com

Dont put a cap on how many people you employ, most of them will flop.

Promote on the night in the area to attract straddlers.

Make it look as decent as you can from outside to attract straddlers.

Dont waste time planning stuff, start it now it will come up fast and you'l just be pissed off when your standing on your ones at midnight saying happy new year the bouncer cos he's the only guy inside.
