JOSE MOURINHO has launched a vicious attack on Arsene Wenger.

The Real Madrid coach taunted his rival over Arsenal's failure to win a trophy in the last five years.

Mourinho rapped: "He should especially explain to Arsenal supporters how he can't win one single little trophy since 2005."

The former Chelsea boss was retaliating after Wenger denounced Real's controversial time-wasting tactics at Ajax on Tuesday, which saw two of the Spanish giants' players conveniently sent off.

He also mocked the Gunners' 2-0 midweek Champions League defeat by Braga, which has left Arsenal in danger of crashing out, and slammed the Frenchman's claims his side is still mostly inexperienced.

Mourinho added: "Instead of speaking about Real Madrid, Mr Wenger should speak about Arsenal and explain how he lost 2-0 against a team in the Champions League for the first time.

"The history about the young kids is getting old now.

"Sagna, Clichy, Walcott, Fabregas, Song, Nasri, Van Persie, Arshavin are NOT kids. They are all top players."

Wenger has angered his old Premier League adversary after slamming Real's antics near the end of their 4-0 win in Amsterdam.

Mourinho and four of his players have been charged by UEFA with improper conduct.

The Real chief is accused of instructing midfielder Xabi Alonso and defender Sergio Ramos to pick up second yellow cards deliberately and be sent off so they will be banned for their team's 'dead' final Group G clash with Auxerre and then take clean disciplinary records into the knockout stage.

Mourinho pleads not guilty but Wenger hit out: "It's a pity to see that from a big club. It looks, frankly, horrible. You don't want to accept that."

Discuss..

This guy talks to much, he is the antithesis of humble. Only thing is he can back his talk up although, i would say this if Wenger was in charge of Chelsea a couuple of years ago he probably would of won as much as Mourinho won with them.

Was waiting for something like this, Wenger shouldn't have said anything about them sending offs.

Even though i like Mourinho, bars for bars Wenger would destroy him...

Would be great to see an Arsenal, Madrid clash this season though.

Mourinho>>>>

Even though he's in the middle of preparing for one of the biggest games of his career he still finds time to par Wenger.

Don't like Mourinho, but he's spot on.

Same thing I've been saying about Arsenal when people try & tell me they're a top team.

Mourinho just deflecting attention. Wenger answered the question on trophies, and losing to Braga, just like he answered the question when asked about Real Madrid's sending offs, and his comments reflect what the majority of football and even Real Madrid fans think.

What did Wenger say about the trophies?

Do you really think Wenger was the only manager to comment on what Madrid did?

Mourinho just using this to deflect (English media only) and as another opportunity to talk on Arsenal for those that missed when he said the same as this at the start of the season, which was cool imo as like Wenger he was asked a direct question (on title chances in the Premier League) and gave his opinion.

Now he acting like a bitch cos he got charged by UEFA.

Just leaving now, start well and I'd be quietly confident we can get something.

Mourinho's never created a legacy.

Wenger has achieved more in football than him and will be rememberd by millions after he's gone unlike Jose, whose just another manager that won a few trophies.

Mourinho 3 European Finals=3 wins

Wenger 3 European Finals= 0 wins

Nothing more to be said (This is aimed at the above post)

Before Money spent is mentioned you need to remember Porto 2002-2004

It isn't as simple as trophy count making you automatically better than your counterpart...

In this case it simply does because Mourinho will remembered as one of the all time greats of European football as for Wenger it will be so difficult without ever winning the holy grail(he simply needs to win it aleast once).
