Mame Biram Diouf
Always see people posting random twitter or other sourced stats in random topics just thought it would be good to post them all in one place because when I go back to find them I cant because they are hard to search etc What sites do you use to get yours from? Could use it to post league tables around Europe every couple weeks and top goal scorers etc Also the random ones like how many goals a player has scored against a certain team or been sent off etc Just thought I'd start us off with an interesting one to debate Refereeing Decisions Man Utd v Liverpool There is constant sniping that Manchester United get all the refereeing decisions in their favour, and are cheating/bribing their way to the title and/or Champions League. The same fans also claim that Liverpool get no luck and unfair decisions. Lets look at some raw stats shall we, for the Premier League and Champions League 2008-2009 to see how this arguement stacks up. Most people agree that penalty decisions and sendings off influence games more than most other decision. Penalties in Favour: Liverpool NINE - Marseille(A), Portsmouth(H), Athelico Madrid(H) a Gerrard special, Newcastle(A), Real Madrid (H), Man Utd (A), Aston Villa 2 pens (H), Chelsea(A) Manchester United FOUR - Bolton(H), Everton(H), Liverpool(H), Spurs(H) Penalties Against: Liverpool ONE - Wigan(A) Manchester Untied THREE - Hull(H), Liverpool(H), Fulham(A) Players Sent Off From Opposition: Manchester United THREE - West Brom(A), Stoke(A), Villareal(A) Liverpool NINE - Manchester United(H), Everton(A), Man City(A), Wigan(H), Arsenal(A), Chelsea(H), Manchester United(A), Aston Villa(H), Hull(A) Players From Own Team Sent Off: Manchester United FIVE - Liverpool(A), Man City(A), Liverpool(H), Fulham(A) 2 players Liverpool NONE 5

Kompressor
the thing about the 1st stat that always used to make me wonder when people spoke abpit How United and the other top teams concede less penalties, was because, maybe thats down to the likes of United Arsenal and Chelsea not spending as much time defending in and around their own box game to game. And by default, win more Penalties because we spend more time attacking the opposing teams box. and the not conceding Penalties at OT thing is the most played out and inaccurate stat in football. In the last 10 years i'd actually wager that we've conceded more than Liverpool and Arsenal possibly. But to be honest this thread could prove many things and set alot of things straight, but probably wont change anyones oppinions on things as with football fans the facts are the last thing and least important in terms of being relevent. quality no.10 thats why
being played out of position being asked to track back, is just killing his game.... but the effectiveness is still there.
