Not the biggest fan of literature or writing but this struck a cord with me.

Found it on some guys fb. Pretty cool / relatable

Sometimes when you have trouble sleeping, you lie in your bed and you look back over the course of your life.

You remember the good times aswell as the bad and it makes you feel a range of emotions.

Joy, anger, regret

You reminisce about your childhood and all the wonderful events you had experienced.

Your first bike ride, your first crush and even the time you got your favourite toy for your birthday.

Then you reach your akward teenage years. Who could forget their first kiss, their first dentention and even their first girlfriend.

What seems to strike you as strange about your adolensence was how care free and joyous it was.

Now that you have reached your adult years You can’t seem to remember the last time you were stress and care free.

There’s always something constantly nagging you

Whether it’s your current financial status, the arguement you just had with your spouse

or any other problem which may seem small to the world but seems like a big deal to you.

As you lay awake thinking how in the world you were going to wake up in time for university, your boring old nine to five or even in time to drop the kids off to school

You wish you could rewind back to your childhood.

Those carefree summer holidays sitting at home watching tv or playing with the kids in your neighbour hood. Staying awake late and not worrying about school the next day.

But the past is the past and the present is now.

So you put those distance memories in the back of your head and you prepare for another gruelling day. Hoping, praying there is a joyous occasion up ahead.

But for now all you can do is reminisce and hope one day things become as carefree and joyous as they once were.
