yh a few

i dont have any problem with them whatsoever

following the rasta way of life, is about peace and love and acceptance of all nations

His majesty said that 'That until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes; That until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race; That until that day, the dream of lasting peace and world citizenship and the rule of international morality will remain but a fleeting illusion, to be pursued but never attained;'

thats all that needs to be said

what do you think garvey would think tho smaddy? or would you say philosophies like those in that haile selassie speech have become more important to rastafari than garveyism/black nationalism?

Garvey pointed us in the direction of His Majesty, Garvey inspired the Rasta movement but he himself was not a Rastaman

Rasta is a progressive faith, I don't think one philosophy is more important than the other

Garvey's push for black people to identify themselves as Africans and rise out of opression doesn't contradict the teachings of Selassie, in fact Haile Selassie really acutally edified Garvey's teachings.
