When i used to live in grove id spend bare time in carnival, never ever got into any sticky situations and never witnessed anything serious, kinda miss those days but deffo not crossing town for it now i live in east/essex. My carnival days are done for now.

Just hope people don't over react to the obvious stop and search they do there and sh*t don't kick off reckon there may be much less people there but ram never the less.

One of the out of town dons got stopped last year down there man ran away from police but ran to the car what had two straps inside and that in turn got two next man shift smh

The Metropolitian Police will begin cracking down on potential troublemakers, anarchists, gangs and rioters at this year's Notting Hill Carnival to ensure the safety of the hundreds of thousands of revellers.

With than less than four weeks to go until the Bank Holiday weekend and the carnival, police will begin a four-week operation, Operation Razorback, and conduct searches across the capital to intercept criminals.

Chief Inspector Chris Allmey said: "Four weeks of intense activity targeted at perventing troublemakers from getting anywhere near Carnival has been planned and we're commited to making Notting Hill Carnival as safe as it can be."

Carnival is overhyped, if you just do your ting and focus on the chicks then you won't get into beef, go in a small batch and just do your own ting, i've been going to cranival for how long and never once had problems, not even a minor confrontation.
