FOOTBALL WATCHER - STUDENT POST

Football Radar is looking for new talent to join our team. By the end of August, we are planning to have filled 10 new positions as part-time Football Watchers for the new seasons.

THE JOB

You will live and breathe football and will be working with some of the most knowledgeable football experts in the country. As a Football Watcher you will primarily be working on weekends and in the evenings, watching both live and recorded matches from various leagues.

While you watch, you will be analysing the match events and logging them into our software system according to certain guidelines.

Although we expect you to work almost every weekend the job is quite flexible. We have a booking system where you are free to choose the matches that suit you. We’d like you to come in to the office once a week, but apart from that you will be working from home (we will provide the software you need so all you need is a quiet workplace and reliable internet).

We will expect you to prove yourself working as a watcher for a while but as for anyone who works hard there are ample opportunities to grow within the company.

This kinda stuff is usually beyond dull. You will be counting corners for ryman league games and the like.

No you'll be recording the match events through sportscode. Its not fun but its experience and could lead to you getting a place at a club- since its usually a prerequisite for any analyst
