No there are other promoters and managers, Haymaker, Hatton, Frank Maloney, promotions, there are also much smaller promoters which generally serve as stepping stones to larger ones, or will run smaller regional bouts with a local roster of fighters on a regular basis.

Golden Boy and Top Rank will also have UK fighters on their books once they have reached a certain potential / level, though obviously because they aren't domestically based this doesn't happen too often.

Though to answer your question, can frank warren blackball you if you have no other support? Yes.

Is not being affiliated with him the end of your career? Certainly not.

Basically the questions I wanted to know.

Just begs the question why young prospects sign to him.

Probably the biggest domestically based boxing promoter

On his books he has Chisora, Lebedev, Cleverly, Degale and Groves (left Haymaker to join), Frankie Gavin, Bellue...

He is certainly a crook, but then I think you will be pretty hard pressed to find any promoters who aren't, most of known names in British Boxing are now with or have been with Warren at some point, Khan was signed to him before leaving for GBP, if you are a young up and coming boxer signing with him doesn't hurt your chances, far from it really.

Yup he had about 40 or 39 fights, all but 3 or 4 were domestic-based, then his next 5 in a row I believe were in the States. Hamed was with Warren, it was down to Warren really all that magic carpet shit that he used to do on the way to the ring.

Calzaghe left him and only went on to have one more fight (he had not planned to fight past 2008), Warren tried to sue him on the grounds that Calzaghe verbally promised to work with him to promote the RJJ fight, but Calzaghe counter sued him for lack of payment, forcing him to sign contracts under duress, and generally being a shady c*nt.

To be honest there probably isn't anyone in the UK better for overseas promotion - most of the elite fighters at different weights are either with Top Rank (Shady Bob Arum), or Golden Boy (De La Hoya), so they are essentially the promotional powerhouses in the United States, where most of the top fighters are based.

He's promoted a lot of Britains best boxers, and chances are if you are big enough now, and not signed to an independent promotional company such as Hatton (who Warren has said should be banned from Boxing for his cocaine use), then you will end up working with Warren.
