England's 23 Man Squad for Euro 2012

25 posts in this topic

Was thinking about this at half time, we actually have a massive pool of talent. Who would you take?

1.Hart

2.GK?

3.GK?

4.Richards

5.Walker

6.Jones

7.Terry

8.Smalling

9.Ferdinand

10.Baines

11.A.Cole

12.Parker

13.Jack

14.Cleverley

15.Lampard

16.Rodwell

17.A.Johnson

18.Milner

19.Walcott

20.Young

21.Sturridge

22.Bent

23.Welbeck

Sure I am missing an obvious person out (not including Gerrard as I don't think he will be match fit by then). :s

Also if Rooney does get taken for two games, why can't King do the same?

Barry I don't think is needed if Parker is going as Scott will only not play if he has one leg missing, Huddlestone won't be getting enough games, Downing doesn't have that spark, Lescott/Jagielka/Cahil dont have big match experience and Dawson is too risky.

Carrick is also not good enough anymore.

Yours?

Hope lennon gets back to his best this season, struggled with injuries over the last year and a half.

On top form, lennon >>>>>>>>

just a shame we havnt seen it for 2 years.

Hes come back well from his latest injury so hope it continues.

Who would you put him in the squad instead of? We need Milner's defensive qualities and Young's versatility...so that leaves Walcott who is 100% going

Forgetting injuries and based on right now and no off-field antics.

1. Hart, 2. Carson, 3. one other 4. Glen Johnson 5. Walker 6. Cashley c*nt 7. Baines, 8. Captain c*nt 9. Rio 10. Cahill 11. Smalling 12. Jones

13. Wilshere 14. Parker 16. Gerrard 18. Walcott 19. Rooney 20. Bent 21. Young 22. Downing

23. Fat c*nt/Rodwell/Milner/Cleverly/Carrick/additional striker - right now that's Welbeck.

If Capello thinks he needs 2 of these then Rio is gone.

Infact Rio gone cos the Italian will take Barry. So its one of those, I think he'd lean towards Milner for his range of positions. Rooney not playing but goin is fucked. Capello has to try Walcott as a striker in one of the games just in case.

Downing will get more football than Adam Johnson.

they should trim the squads to 18 too many players are only there to train and watch games from the bench.

If the world cup was tomorrow, and everyone was fit:

Hart

Carson

Fraiser Forster

------------------

Richards

Walker

Cole

Terry

Jones

Lescott

Cahill

------------------

Barry

Parker

Lampard

Wilshere

------------------

Young

Downing

Walcott

Milner

------------------

Rooney,

Bent,

Welbeck,

Zamora

The last two striker positions will be massively dependent on form though. Gerrard and Rio will get in if they're fit and in form too.

I thought you was being serious until i saw Sordell's name.

Do you actually beleive this kid (who has had a good spell at palace, and recently scored for u21's) Should be in the squad for the euros over the likes of Defoe , Bent , Sturridge , Rooney , Welbeck etc etc

Not serious.
