The biggest thing with United is your defence and your keeper. You man could always count on those two to keep you in games. Lets be honest VDS in goal Wednesday, that first goal never happens, Jones scores and you man go through and it’s a 'CLASSIC' united come back.

De Gea's still adapting and learning his trade, Evra's questionable form, same for Rio. Smalling although he's done well got exposed horribly in regards to positioning.

Suppose the one thing you've always had at United is that mentality alongside a sold defensive unit. With that you've been able to get by with decent/average midfielders (in recent times) and a couple of stars (Nani and Rooney at times)...Now your that defensive unit is slipping and that classic united play of scoring goals late on is proving meaningless as you can't shut the opposition out any longer.

It will probably still work against the premiership teams as like I’ve always said, most see there playing united and go out like they've already lost. Then again I even think some of these teams are going out and thinking they can get points now.

For sure though when your playing in Europe against these nomad teams who are genuinely going to give it a go because they have nothing to lose then it's going to cause you trouble.
