Exporting Midi From Cubase

Probably an easy solution to this, but I haven't found it

When I click Export > Midi and export that way, the whole beat comes in 1 midi channel.

Do any of You know how to export the channels separately? It dos this in Reason when I export midi from reason

could you not solo the track? i'm sure if there's a batch export for individual audio channels there must be one for MIDI as well
