What do you want to use it for?

DSLR - Are decent but trust me Its a headache to edit with.

Its all good for the cinema look. But the focus could be off putting.

12 minute max recording per hit.

Plus Lens as well

For that budget. You could find a decent camcorder that will be alot more flexible.

Its all about what you wanna use this cam for..

Why you say it's a headache to edit with Afro?

The file format H.264 doesn't respond well and drops frames on final cut.

You need to convert it before you can work with it.

File size is also big.

Focusing - Its a manual job

The weight doesn't help in hand shooting.

When you overcome these obstacles they are probably the best thing to shoot on in its range..

But have seen alot of people by this camera thinking its just point & shoot straight out of the box and have been very disappointed.

This is why am asking what does he want to use the camera for?

Afroman, it is actually just a camcorder that I want, dunno why I wrote video camera..

I just need one that is easy to use and to edit, I will only be using it to film personal things like friends and family, nothing proffessional but would still like it to be as decent a quality as possible.

This is pretty decent still.

If you want to spend less than that. I will recommend those bloggie cameras.

They are holding up to some of these camcorders.

Easy to use , Edit & Upload. Alot of News journalists carry these around.

Price range 80-200

Okay cheers mate, that is slightly more than I was willing to spend though tbh. Ive been looking at the Sony HDRCX190 HD Camcorder, which I believe is the downgraded version to what you posted, any good? Im more likely than not going to buy it once I have finished work unless any one can think of a reason why I shouldnt do so.

The Sony Camcorder is kool, I would get a light though for indoor shooting.

Something like this

Could attach it to the camera with this

Will really enhance your picture otherwise your indoor shooting will be quite poor.

Yeah those lights are decent.

I have got one myself. They eat batteries though.
