Where is the black outrage over Thusha's shooting?

Quote
This week’s report into last summer’s riots found that the shooting of Mark Duggan was apparently the last straw for a black community under siege from the Met and its stop-and-search tactics. But this week has also seen the conviction of three young black men for shooting a five-year-old girl, Thusha Kamaleswaran, through the spine in an attempted gangland hit.

The killing of a known criminal and gang member in Tottenham triggered an orgy of looting; many community leaders leapt to Duggan’s defence. Yet the paralysing of an innocent child hasn’t elicited a peep of condolence from such leaders, let alone outrage at those responsible. And not one pair of Nikes has been stolen in protest.

Quote
The two cases highlight the hypocrisy that frames our discussion of race and crime. About a thousand people attended Duggan’s funeral, as though his death were akin to the assassination of Martin Luther King. How many of them will contribute to Thusha’s appeal fund as she contemplates life in a wheelchair?

While there should be concern about and full accounting for any killing by the police, the black community should be more concerned about the chronic degree of gun crime committed by its own members — a primary reason for the police being armed in the first place.

Quote
Rather than blaming society, such characters should criticise the gangster culture and its celebration of semi-literate, criminal machismo that undermines inner-city life.

And they should march in the streets of Thusha’s Stockwell neighbourhood to shame the gang members, the people who value black lives cheapest. For black gun crime is a far more lethal menace to black people in London than the Metropolitan Police will ever be.

the 'black community' is nowhere near tight enough for this shaming tactic to work

tbf for so called 'black leaders' to speak out against gun crime may sound great

but why shouldnt this apply to other races then, i dont hear vocal asian leaders speak out against white girl deevs all the time

police abuse stop and search, fact. allow just taking it because someone that looks like me acts like a fool

\

people should stop bitchin about race topics, make something better for people to talk about then.

race is a topic until its no longer an issue.

There are things i agree with, however i dont play with patel's coonery for his masters

I have read a similar article when a black person was killed in similar innocent circumstances

so this is nothing ground breaking.

apart from the fact that just like this fool is doing...he's just leeching onto an issue to make a name for himself.

but ripping him apart is way to easy..u just gotta laugh cos every coon has to dance to the tune he's played.

for example : "1000 people attended mark duggan's funeral, akin to the assasination of MLK" fact check:over half a million attended MLK's funeral... comparing duggan to MLK is insulting talkless of so far from the truth since he chose to mention numbers.

"gun crime amongst black people is a bigger threat than the met can ever pose" Fact check: over 500 black people have died in police custody..not one police officer has ever been charged or convicted of any crimes.

at least 2 out of 5 major gun or knife crime offences result in arrests and a high number of successful prosecutions

so feds can always do the ground work when it comes to shifting others ...except themselves, but this coon says the Met poses little threat??

he got paid, people will reply and cuss and the cyle continues.

Silly really, i dont think the 2 shootings can be compared like that the circumstances are so different.

Asians would never march or riot for the girl, main reason being theres as much division in the asian community as asian vs black, muslim asians would march if it was a muslim girl that had been shot, but no singhs or tamils would join the march, and vice versa.

Never heard anything do stupid in my life. Do white people all apologise and show their disgust when one of their paedophiled touches someone? Do asians all show collective disgust whn their muslamic ray guns pass round young white girls in Bradford.

They don't start a nation wide riot when 1 of their criminals are shot though.

No they just invade other peoples countries for oil , kill hundreds of thousands of civilians , enslave a whole continent and kill off their own people by blowing up some nice towers

Wouldv'e been more interesting if he wrote about the shameful dowry system where some families end up burning or drowning their young daughters, honour killings, the caste divides, especially the ''untouchables'', the way they Hindu's don't get along with Sikhs and Muslims etc

Guy tr0lled, and people are probably biting hard

But he does have a minor point though, a little girl was shot, this shouldn't be happening, but there would be no momentum behind it, how would they riot against fellow back people

:/

Reach out more yeah, but can't really see that being effective tbh

Black community has no real powerful leaders, were a generations of individuals

The behaviour of OUR government is irrelevant and you know this.

The bloke was pointing out the hypocrisy of the black populaces general reaction to tragedies such as a known criminals murder, which was taken as institutionally racist, and the innocent victim of yet another shooting.

To then compare this to how White people react when 1 White bloke rapes a baby is frankly preposterous.

Article has a point to an extent. Haven't seen any condemnation or uproar from black people about this innocent girl being shot. I'm even guilty of it myself. However like m12 said is there an Asian public outrage when they re passing around little white girls or when they do there honour killing shit?
