Pato is in brilliant form ever since the start of 2015 and scored two more goals in São Paulo's 4-0 thrashing of Danubio in the Copa Libertadores.

Alexandre Pato opened his Copa Libertadores account with a brace on Wednesday, inspiring São Paulo to their first continental win this season. The 25-year-old striker continued his February scoring spree, notching his eighth goal in six matches in all competitions as São Paulo thrashed Danubio 4-0. Pato, who is on loan from Sao Paulo's city rivals Corinthians, struck twice in the first half, while Reinaldo and Jonathan Cafú added goals after the break to see off their Uruguayan visitors.

Corinthians President Roberto De Andrade has hung poor Alexandre Pato out to dry with these incredible quotes to ESPN Brasil.

Having signed The Duck in 2013, Corinthians decided to loan him out after one season, sending him to rivals Sao Paulo.

And listening to De Andrade on ESPN show Bate Bola yesterday, the door is emphatically closed on Pato coming back to Corinthians.

De Andrade publicly shamed Pato in an astonishing rant, saying:

‘I regret buying him.

“But the failure is his own fault. At the time no-one was against it. Everyone knows that we’re praying day and night, hoping to sell him.”
