in on 4.6 with my arctic cooling freezer aswell. 2500k. Can still go higher but im happy for now

Used to ALWAYS use that cooler. Had a few of em. rev1/2 etc back when I built a bunch of 775/core 2 machines. Used to love that cooler. Ive had e8400s stock and they were p but used to buy e3300 celerons which sound sh*t but clock them to 4Ghz and they would keep up with any CPU out there. Would run stable at 4Ghz too on that cooler. 30 quid ish for mad power. Thats why I cant be bothered to clock now. Makes little difference. Best thing I can do is move from 2500k to 2600k when its worth it. The extra threads >>>

Prob. a total of 800ish. Maybe even less. Just went all out really. Not sure what to add to it now. Except maybe buy the same graphics card again and crossfire em. Perhaps overkill though. It plays BF3 on ultra calm. Hows your build progressing?

What do you man use to organise your cables?

 

Just built my HTPC and needs to get things organised now its up and running.

pc's against a wall, I know i prob should tidy them up, but just try tuck them out of sight and try and forget

Na meant in the case, like cable ties and sleeves

Mine are all over the place they were sealed nicely but cut few of the cables when I had to put in a new graphics and sound card

Just used the cable ties and the cable management holes in my case, does the job, but takes a bit of time.

Yeah I'm ocd about organisation gonna sort it out.

The case is setup nicely and I was surprised it came with nuff cable ties but I like the look of them professional mesh looking sleeves.

Also don't like the fact it will be affecting the air flow.

Yeah its gonna affect di air flow. And looks cack. I've never been that bothered but its made kinda easy with this fractal case. Just route stuff in the right place. But cable ties are the way fwd.

I've got an old HP amd, athlon 64 pc from like 2004, sitting in the attic, it works but it's slow and on youtube it can't play higher than 240 vids..

Is there anyway I could make it faster, to stream and watch videos? Some1 said cop a video card, it's on windows service pack 3 I think

I've got an imac and macbook but would like a pc, can this pc be pimped? Or isit done?
