Greatest player to never win the CL

Age is irrelevant

Ronaldo was how old in Serie A?

If your strong mentally you will conquer Serie A

Ibra done well in La Liga until he fell out with Pep and Messi asked to play through the middle

I would say check the stats but it's nothing

Ibra won El Clasico and the first five games

Might be the weaker out of the five in this moment in time

Like La Liga they have aleast a quarter finalist in Europe's premier competition

Please forgive me if I misunderstood the question but surely one of two answers is acceptable. Pele or Maradona?

I can't comment on a player I've never seen play week in week out.

So your saying you wouldn't say Maradona was a better player then Zlatan. Whether you saw Maradona week in week out or not?

After asking the question i was half expecting the response to be "from 92 onwards"

Them having a quarter finalist doesnt really matter, because the league is poor, and this has nothing to do with the subject,I'm not some PL crusader....Bergkamp had a bad spell at Inter before he matured, moved on and came to England and was one of the best players to play in the league to date, all the while continuing to excel for his country in international tournaments

Ronaldo is certainly one of the goats and a comparison with him is pretty much void

You are comparing a young mans performance in a new league with a man in his prime who had played there for the better part of a decade, AND in a weaker era, age certainly matters, and context certainly matters

The comparison doesn't stand up

You say Zlatan fell out with Guardiola but did Bergkamps inter side not have what, 3 different managers over how much time?

Bergkamp influence is over rated just like Zola's

Cantona/Henry were more influential than Bergkamp especially Cantona

Bergkamp wasn't about that life so he took the L

The Bergkamp vs Cantona debate in terms of influence is played out and plain silly. The Bergkamp Vs Henry one is an interesting one that I haven't thought of till now. But I'd say you were right, on the pitch anyway.

Bergkamp had the team built around him @Inter

I will ask someone who has watched Inter for 25 years

Let's see what he says about Bergkamp

Ligue 1 is poor so is the Premiership/Serie A

Only La Liga y Bundesliga have quality (real quality)

Why do people think its a big thing to be one of best players in England

Premier League has never been the best league in world football since I been watching football

It's like your the best in England which automatically means WC status it doesn't work like that

For the record, when I was watching United people respected Bergkamp and his talents but generally nobody ever feared him, Henry, Zola, Shearer, Robbie Fowler and Viera even were feared.

Just putting that out there. Not necessarily saying any of the mentioned players were better but that's how it was generally. Excellent player but IMO not one worthy of fear,

Stop with the strawman argument, I have never once (in this thread or otherwise) bigged up the premier league

Kluivert holds that record now so it's irrelevant

He had a good 98 I doubt he was that good in 94

Ibra carried Inter where Bergkamp couldn't handle it

Bergkamp is the same bottler who ruled himself out away CL games

Bergkamp is a great premier league player but unlike Ibra who excels everywhere he goes

Like I said Ibra can do everything Bergkamp could do and more

That's nonsense, Ibra couldn't play the Number 10 role like Dennis

I always find it funny when you call players bottlers but rate Zlatan

Wait a sec are people saying Bergkamp is better than Ibra? How does a discussion like this even arise? They dont play the same, dont have the same roles, dont play in the same position and are 2 completely different players, both of which are world class.

However Lol @ Bergkamp not playing away matches in Europe.

Lol @ Djimi Traore having a CL winners medal over certain man mentioned in this thread.
