The irony is of course David Cameron, a bigger thatcherite than thatcher, talking about "Broken Britain" when it was his idol that caused it.

She also basically destroyed northern industry and took all the jobs away in the north, and now conservatives are complaining about northerners being "welfare scroungers".

Add in to that the complete overspecialisation in finance while deregulating the industry that pretty much directly caused 2008's financial crisis and recession we endure today, and the fact that the city of London is now owned by non-British corporations and state actors, we now have a huge economic black hole right in the middle of where we supposed make most of our wealth from

The welfare state has been destroyed, the NHS is being destroyed, people are getting poorer, communities feel less safe every year. Britain been completely f*cked.

 

It's ironic that she died the following the week that the government pushed through their 'masterplan' for making the rich richer and the poor even more poorer like she could give up as the work she started all those years ago was finally completed.

I'm not an expert on Thatcher but I'm a Northerner so naturally I have people all around me who 30-40 years on are still reeling from what she did during her premiership. She ripped the heart out of Northern communities and then had the audacity to turn around and ask 'why are you lot struggling to live?'
