Muslim Weddings - alcohol?

Serious question - at a Muslim wedding, do they allow alcohol at the reception or is it as dry as Ghandi's flip flop? Cos I'm thinking...how the hell can you have no alcohol at a wedding?

I know Muslims can't generally have alcohol in day to day life, but are there exemptions for these type of special occasions?
