She won a competition and her song got played at Superbowl but she was already on Youtube and just rode the wave, was signed to Interscope as part of the competition but later asked to be let off cos they wanted her to spend more time developing and working with other writers.

 

She weren't having it, said she writes her own shit asked to be let off.

 

She has videos with 9mill views, 15 mill views. Her album went 139 on the Billboard 200.

First hand experience of coming into a class of filled with disgracefully educated kids, and outsmarting them in every subject apart from English in year 6. I couldn't even speak it, but still I got higher than most of them year 6 SATs. That was down to the education I'd had back home.
