I use it sometimes to shout at my xbox when Im in the kitchen or toilet, but beyond that I use it exactly zero of the time.

Microsoft has now emphasized that it will respect the privacy of the Xbox One users and that they can even pause or turn off the device.

 

 

Like dub said, MS are free to back track whatever they said.  That's why they openly said they will change anything that doesn't feel is right.

 

I'd expect a few more things to change after the feedback they have got.

 

 

They will never advertise the ability to turn off kinect as its a device that's relied on to make their Xbox console the best 'entertainment system'  hence why they like to use the word pause
