Chronicling the rise from underground to over-ground, Rewind is the definitive UK Garage music documentary. From the confines of the house party to the vibrant club scene and beyond, there has never been a more in depth look at the Garage genre. From the years of 1998 to 2002 UK Garage dominated the national charts. The most successful British dance genre to ever emerge from London’s underground, Rewind travels back in time to uncover the untold story of a genre of music that defined an entire generation, still prevalent in today’s music world. The influence and legacy of Garage has been immense and the artists most known for putting it on the music map share their passion with you. The first British dance music documentary of its kind, here is the ultimate history of the birth, death and resurrection of Garage music: Rewind 4Ever

Released on Monday 15th July 2013 on iTunes and Tesco's Blink Box!

Rewind 4Ever : The History of UK Garage - Feature-Length Documentary

Featuring Karl 'Tuff Enuff' Brown, 'Matt Jam' Lamont, Grant Nelson, Todd Edwards, MC Creed, Timmi Magic, Wookie, Ashley Walters, MC Harvey, Artwork (Magnetic Man) and many more.

“When I first met DJ and producer Grant Nelson and told him the ideas I had for Rewind 4Ever, his response was simple… “It’s about time.”

Given the huge impact Garage has had on UK music since its ‘heyday’; the emergence of Grime, the ‘superstar MC’, Funky House and most recently the Dubstep phenomenon, I felt the time was definitely right to provide a unique insight into the music that gave birth to these aforementioned scenes.

With that being my main motivation, the aim was simple - to tell the REAL story of Garage, from the very beginning right up to present day, and this story would be conveyed by the full spectrum of artists, dj’s, mc’s and promoters from within the Garage movement.

I think Rewind is an example of how music, particularly the dance and urban genres, can grow ‘organically’ over time. Nothing’s planned, music just happens to follow it’s own path. Not only that, but the role music plays across society is a very important one, especially for the youth of today. Not just for the Garage ‘raver’, I believe that Rewind will also be of great interest to fans across the full scope of electronic music, setting the blueprint for what’s happening in today’s UK urban music industry.”
