Used to enjoy carnival both days when I lived in grove and could just step out into it, come and go as I please. Now days wouldn't bother travelling from east for it.

Do a right onto Kensal road and think the 2nd left and your there

You should be able to get in and out by the entrance to Good Times

It's a side entrance to ladbroke grove and middle row which they can't lock off

It's the long way round but should get you access

But I heard that yest there were noticeably fewer black people. My boy said that even lots of the food stands were run by non blacks.

If true, it's a funny sign of the times and shows just how much London is changing.

To be honest its been more of a multi cultural event now. Like 10 years ago. But more noticeable 5 years back. 

 

Eventually its gonna turn to one of those hippy events where you have gay pride parade with all sort of colorful pro -weirdo movements having a field day

Personally I find that as a positive and I will feel more obliged to go knowing it is now more culturally diverse, I eat rice and peas and jerk chicken/steam fish most weeks, So I would be glad to now know I can get a chicken kiev and a shepards pie and Yorkshire pudding while listening to Ordinary boys at Carnival. Only downside is how much to the left these new breed of Londoners coming from other towns around the country to come and live in London. 

 

@Afroman if carnival was to have a gay section that would be nothing but positive the pink pound is strong.
