i think any intelligent person evaluates things on a case by case basis, that being said I aint being a c*nt but why u lot always wanna go so deep in every topic

 

obviously OP meant u know like, on a standard basis, not some mad heinous crimes, obviously that would more be to do with the depth of the crime than the simple fact they have a record

Which would you hire ?

 

Someone lacking in skills qualifications and experience but did not have a record

Someone qualified and demonstrated but with a criminal record

Should've asked if you would hire a person if they had committed any of the following crimes (less serious ones that would make you in two minds)

 

Vandalism

Tax evasion

Fraud/forgery

Drug possession/selling

Shoplifting

Public disturbance

Drunk driving

Hate crime

 

etc

Vandalism - depends how recent, if it was in their younger years I wouldn't hold this against someone

 

Tax evasion - yeah

 

Fraud/forgery - nope

 

Drug possession/selling - depends on what it was

 

Shoplifting - nope

 

Public disturbance - would want a back-story before deciding

 

Drunk driving - no

 

Hate crime - they can f*ck off

'generally' its the big boss corporations that go in on the CRB checks/reference checks/education checks/credit checks etc 

 

so trying to break into that is going to be bloody hard ffs
