cdj setup: amp n speakers

bought some cdj400s cheap back end of last year, didnt realise id need more than just my computer to play em out of so im looking at some speakers, didnt know about all this active, passive, built in amp shit till a week ago but im just lookin for suttin basic to get sound from. been lookin on gumtree for a bargain which would u say is the best of these?

just get some active speakers and you wont need an amp, just hook them straight up to your mixer.

 

Ive got KRK Rokit 5s paid bout £250 for the pair brand new,  would def recommend.

this is just for home listening 

 

is there no benefit to having an amp (aka hi-fi right?) like recording straight onto cd

 

i might have to take u up on that odml93, pms.

not sure what you mean, why would you need an amp or hifi to record to cd?

 

use the 2nd/booth output from your mixer > input on your lappy and record with audacity or something.

 

imo lowe all the hifi shit and get some decent active/powered monitors, unless you want to go deep in the speaker game.
