I think the factual basis kind of holds it back a little though, there's never a real proper victory in the battles, its like "we got some treasure/land, now lets go back home"

I need to watch the last episode still haven't got round to it. This Series has been awesome though, it doesn't wait around at all. Every episode is straight to the point. Loved how it's all played out from the beginning as well, it was well put across those first 4 Seasons how Ragnar went from a young strong Viking to an older and suffering man.

This has been one of the beauties about the show for me..... It would otherwise be hard to envisage a continuation of the show without a certain someone in it but they portrayed that story well and developed Bjorn so that he was ready to fill that role.
