I have the 49 key version of that and its decent - so quality-wise I'd recommend. M-Audio are always good for value.

 

don't like having less than 49 keys, ____ >>>> having to change octave every 10 seconds

 

I haven't checked for midi hardware or software in a while but I've always wanted to get involved in one of those auto-assigning midi tools for knobs/buttons
