1 post in this topic

''DETROIT, MI -- There's plenty of Detroit and overall Michigan representation in a new list of "World's Greatest Singers" by vocal range that surfaced online this week.

The website conducted interesting research about high notes and low notes for performers and declared Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose No. 1.

But several performers with ties to the Great Lakes State also made the cut in the categories of overall vocal range, highest notes and lowest notes.

Charts on the website show the highest and lowest notes each artist hit in the recording studio.

A breakdown of those with Detroit and Michigan ties, including those who performed under the Motown label, in each category and their ranking'':

Smokey Robinson - 69
